Hi girls
Just wanted to send you both a quick email to say thank you for making me enjoy training and wanting to get fit. Having completed the half marathon on Sunday, I've realised how far I've come and I know I couldn't have done it without your help. I've gone from the girl who would rather wait half an hour for the next train than run for it to the girl who runs half marathons (still can't quite believe I can now say that - plus I must be a glutton for punishment, I've signed up for another!!)
But thank you both for making the classes so enjoyable and so worthwhile. Your next challenge is to work on the weather - if you could make this rain stop I might enjoy it EVEN more!! ;)

I'd seen the Burn It sessions on the Heath, and emailed in. I was 2.5st over weight, couldn't run to end of the road or do a single press up. Over the years I've often started various exercise/diet regimes and then given up on them within 2 months due to lack of results or loss of motivation. I wasn't expecting too much, but Sara really is different. She's excellent at gauging your limits and pushing you just beyond them. She also knows how to make you feel just guilty enough so you don't miss training!
In Nov 2008 I started training 3 times a week with Sara. Within a month
Sara had convinced me to start running on my own, and join the group sessions. Where I met Louise - who is also lovely and runs a great circuits class. I can now run about 8 miles, I've lost 1.5st and I my body feels better than it has done in about 10 years!

I have been working with Louise for just under a year, and whilst having thought about a personal trainer for sometime found her cheerful disposition, obvious love of her work and commitment to making exercise fun, the catalyst I required to "get across the line".
Each session is a little bit different, with Louise using variety to real effect that ensures that her sessions do not become hum-drum or monotonous. Best of all Louise will listen to you, and skilfully uses exercise substitution so that she minimises the time spent on sets that you really don't like (in my case burpees and full-body press-ups) whilst at the same time making sure you still obtain the necessary muscle group or aerobic work-out. However, be warned, this does not mean that she is a soft touch, for ultimately Louise's aim is to improve your level of fitness and help you enjoy it at the same time, even if you do end up smiling through gritted teeth. Forget diets, forget lipo-suction go spend sometime with Louise, for she really is an endorphin generator!

No sooner had I turned 30, life sprinted past and I found myself celebrating my 37th birthday - Sadly I had let myself go, too much of a party lifestyle had made it's mark - eg: 17.5 stone!!
I started to introduce slight changes into my lifestyle and progress was slow. I needed a real kick in the backside in order to motivate me. I met Sara this summer (2007) and I decided to recruit her for two sessions a week....WOW! initially, she worked me beyond my expectations - I couldn't even do a press up! But, through sweat, hard work and determination, all under Sara's instruction, I shed 2.5 stone and can now do 50 press ups!!
All of this was achieved in a relatively short period of time (Nov 07) All my friends comment on how well I look, my confidence levels are at an all time high - I feel better now than I did in my 20's.
I owe Sara big time! she motivates me to maintain a healthy lifestyle and manages my expectations well. The one to one instruction is so beneficial, especailly as Sara gets to know you, all sessions are made and designed with your goals in mind.
My advice is don't just think about getting in shape - DO IT, imagine where you could be in 3 months....and on a personal note - Thanks Sara !

I first became a client of Burn-it in July 2007 and got into a regular rhythm of working-out, shedding plenty of “middle age bulge”. But in March 2008, Sara (my original trainer) took maternity leave to have her baby daughter.
But, every cloud has a silver lining. And this was proved to be true once I met with Louise in May 2008. After a couple of “taster” sessions, Louise was pretty quick to spot my overall aims and goals, creating excellent one-2-one training techniques, circuits and cardio sessions that have more than managed to keep me in tip-top shape. I meet with her twice a week and enjoy our hour immensely – it’s pretty much go-go-go from the moment we meet until the last minute. Louise will push and coax me to do my best with each exercise and I feel completely revitalised once the hour is completed – never does time pass so quickly! I prefer to workout outside, it’s so refreshing with an ever changing scenery unlike the static (and sometimes demoralising and embarrassing) environment of a gymnasium. (Plus, I will never look at a park bench in the same way again!!)
As a result of my association with Burn-it and seeing the fantastic results I addressed my diet, preferring to eat a healthier and more balanced plate. It’s amazing what you can eat if it is cooked properly – I sometimes feel like I’m cheating! And this has really had a massive impact on the way I look and feel – I now have better confidence levels and am wearing clothes that fitted me in my twenties – not bad for a 40 year old!
Finally, it’s thanks to Louise that I completed a half-marathon in October 2008 (in a good time for a novice of 2:02) and am also currently training hard for the Flora London Marathon in April! Louise ensures that I’m training correctly, exercising all the right muscle groups in order to prevent any injuries - we spend an hour a week running-up the hills of Greenwich park, sprinting, running backwards, cross-country etc. I now consider 10 miles to be an average run!
So, from an 18 stone, beer swigging couch potato to a 14.5 stone Marathon runner. In my opinion pretty good going – and I owe it to Louise, Sara and Burn-it.

Subject: Why Sara is soooo brilliant The best thing about Sara is that
she's a brilliant teacher. She great at very clearly telling you how to do each exercise and really good at explaining what it's working and why it's good for you! She also strikes the right balance between giving lots of encouragement and making training good fun but also knowing when to push me if I'm feeling a bit lazy! Thank to Sara I feel in great shape.

Personal training sessions can get monotonous in a sweaty gym, but training outdoors with Sara is fun and challenging. I train outside on Blackheath or in my back garden, come rain or shine and I love it! I’m seeing real results in my fitness levels and my body shape. Sara is very motivational and keeps me reaching for all my fitness, diet and wellbeing goals. I would recommend Sara to anyone that is thinking about personal training.

I started training with Sara and Louise over eighteen months ago and it’s the best decision I ever made. When I started I don’t think I had done any exercise in years but through a combination of their motivation, great training ideas and ability to deliver real results I now do regular exercise and actually enjoy it! 
Sara and Louise are great personal trainers. They constantly think of new routines and exercises so no two sessions are ever the same. They set realistic goals with you and really push you towards achieving them.
I used to hate exercise and always felt intimated and bored by gyms and exercise classes but now nothing beats a session with Sara or circuits with Louise. I feel fit and healthy and I’ve made two great friends.

I started personal training sessions with Louise earlier this year with the aim of knocking two minutes off my 10k time in a month. Louise used a mixture of speed and strength training in the hour long sessions. She was both encouraging and motivating. The sessions were challenging and the aims achievable. I always came away feeling good about what I'd managed to do and was very pleased to knock that two minutes off when race day finally arrived.
This Autumn term, Louise started circuit classes at the school I work at for the staff. We train every Wednesday for an hour after school. She makes sure we work hard to the last second but have fun and motivate each other too. Every single participant saw a marked improvement in their fitness level within 10 weeks. Needless to say, Louise has been booked for the Spring (and Summer we hope) term too!
With Louise's help and encouragement I started to believe I could do things I hadn't even considered before. I have since completed 3 10k races, a 10 mile race and a half marathon with training underway for the Edinburgh Marathon in 2010.

RE - GROUP CLASSES ON BLACKHEATH....
I have been involved with Louise's circuit training sessions for the last five months and they have been great. I have really seen my fitness progress in this time which has really grown my confidence. The exercise's and objectives that Louise sets are very thorough and very attainable for a group like ours, which has a wide variety of ability / coordination! I run regularly in the week and enjoy competing in 10k races so Louise's circuit training really adds diversity to my fitness. I would recommend Louise's sessions for anyone looking to up their fitness whatever their level.

I like the variety - and 1 minute on each activity is great - I sometimes struggle with the weights as I have little upper body strength but its great fun trying. I really enjoy the classes Sara runs and i am feeling the benefit.

Burn It Fitness came to our school to provide a weekly circuit training session for our teachers an hour after school. There are a total 18 teachers and each week we complete a variety of circuit training activities including weight training, cardio and core conditioning.
Every week was planned so that we did not repeat any session twice. The staff are really impressed with how quickly their fitness improved . We completed a fitness test in week one and again at the end of term. Every member of staff could complete more of each activity than they could in the beginning.
Our trainer Louise is extremely approachable. She always explains each exercise in depth and demonstrates how to use the equipment appropiately. She offers alternatives to make the exercises easier or harder.
All our staff have really enjoyed the sessions and some have now joined Burn It Fitness monthly group memebership.
I would not hesitate to recommend Burn It Fitness . They are professional, well organised and completely approachable fitness company. I know that we will continue using them in the future.
